Cass County Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on May 27, 2026, at approximately 1:16 a.m., deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal ATV crash in a field off Kirk Lake Road in the Vandalia area of Newberg Township, Cass County, Michigan.
According to the preliminary investigation, 37-year-old Stacie Hershburger-Hebron was operating an ATV in a hay field when she struck a pole. The impact caused the ATV to overturn onto its side, trapping her underneath.
Stacie Hershburger-Hebron was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of her injuries.
Assisting at the scene were SEPSA Ambulance, Newberg Ambulance, Victim Services, and the Newberg Township Fire Department.
The incident remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
