ALEA Investigates Fatal I-65 Crash in Cullman County That Claims Lives of Florence Woman and Lexington Man

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. —A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Cullman County late Tuesday night has claimed the lives of Kristen B. Rogers, 35, of Florence, and Danny W. Robinson, 41, of Lexington, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Officials say the crash occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. on May 26 near Alabama 69, about two miles southeast of Dodge City, when a 2012 Cadillac SRX left the roadway under still-uncertain circumstances.

Vehicle Left Roadway and Overturned

According to ALEA, Rogers was driving the Cadillac SRX northbound on Interstate 65 when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a cable barrier, and overturned.

Both Rogers and Robinson, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Investigators say both occupants were ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but both were pronounced deceased at the location of the crash by the Cullman County Coroner’s Office.
