Winnipeg Police Investigate Suspicious Death of 32-Year-Old Jamie Raymond Asham in North District Homicide Case C26-127497

Winnipeg Police Service is actively investigating a suspicious death involving Jamie Raymond Asham, which occurred in the early morning hours of May 30, 2026, in the city’s North District.

According to police, officers were dispatched just before 8:00 a.m. to a wellbeing check at a residence in the 700 block of Stella Avenue. The call prompted a response from North District General Patrol units, who arrived at the location shortly after receiving the report.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male outside one of the residential properties. The scene was immediately secured, and additional resources were called in to assist with the investigation.

The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit has since taken over the case, now formally identified as investigation C26-127497. Authorities have confirmed that the death is being treated as suspicious while investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
