With deep sorrow, the Reeltown community and all who knew her are grieving the tragic loss of Bailee Ward, whose life was cut short Friday night following a motorcycle crash in Elmore County, Alabama.
According to the Wetumpka Police Department, emergency responders were called to the 4700 block of U.S. Highway 231 around 11:05 p.m. after reports of a serious single-vehicle motorcycle accident. Upon arrival, first responders found two individuals at the scene. Sadly, Bailee Ward was pronounced deceased at the location of the crash. A second person involved sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital in Montgomery for further treatment.
The crash forced the temporary closure of the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 231 for nearly two hours as investigators worked to process the scene and begin determining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
