CORTLAND, N.Y. — A tragic motorcycle crash along Interstate 81 over the weekend has claimed the life of 26-year-old Christopher D. Messerlie of Watertown, New York, according to the New York State Police.
Troopers said Messerlie was traveling southbound on I-81 in Cortland County, approximately a half-mile south of Exit 52, when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck a guide rail.
