According to a press release from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, authorities received a report on May 27, 2026, at approximately 4:55 p.m. from a Tettegouche State Park ranger who had located a body on the rocks below the cliff area at Palisade Head, a well-known scenic overlook along Minnesota’s North Shore.
Emergency responders from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit and Rescue Squad were dispatched to the area and worked together to recover the victim from the difficult terrain below the cliffs. Officials later identified the individual as Seth Pipho, of Minneapolis.
