With profound sadness, family, friends, and community members are mourning the tragic loss of Sidney Rae Lewis, 25, of West Linn, whose life was cut short in a fatal crash on Interstate 205 in Clackamas County during the early morning hours of June 11, 2026.
According to the Oregon State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 2:41 a.m. near milepost 13 on northbound Interstate 205 near Milwaukie. Preliminary findings indicate that Sidney was driving a black Volkswagen Jetta when, for reasons that remain unknown, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree and a fence.
Despite emergency response efforts, Sidney was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The tragic accident led to a significant response from multiple agencies, including the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas Fire District, the Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Oregon Department of Transportation. The highway remained impacted for approximately three hours as investigators worked to document the scene and determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
